His reproduction of the legendary Honus Wager was used for the Christmas Catalogue cover for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Cooperstown, NY. In addition, Ray’s portrait of pitching great Cy Young was also shown at the Baseball Hall of Fame.

But Ray has created more than just duplicate baseball card renderings. Working from photos supplied to him, he has sensitively recreated portraits of individuals and couples. The first of such renderings was created for a retired Economics Professor from the University of Michigan. Once completed, the work was presented to the professor’s wife on the occasion of her 80th birthday. Other works have depicted television celebrities and Manhattan socialites.
